This March 2004 newsletter introduced two commemorative items created for the John Entwistle Foundation. The offers have long ended, and no prices or ordering information are included here.
The mug
The foundation had an 11-ounce ceramic mug produced in black enamel. The logo was etched into the surface rather than applied, and the author said that holding the mug made the quality apparent. Close-up photographs were included to show the lettering. Each mug was described as individually made by an artist and shipped directly, and the item was not available in shops. It was offered as a thank-you for supporters at certain giving levels.
The plaque
A second keepsake, the “Who By Numbers” plaque, featured an image etched on fine marble inside a wooden frame. It was pitched as a collector’s item for a home or office and was reserved for larger gifts.
Why the foundation made them
The items gave supporters a lasting reminder of their involvement, and they promoted the charity wherever they were displayed. A similar description appears on the keepsakes page.
